Powers: Blade has several powers. First is his Sonic Blade attack, which when he has focused all his energy to his sword, allows him to create a huge shockwave when swung at high speeds. Another is his Demon form. When friends are in trouble, and he feels there is nothing that he can do about it, his negative energy starts to take over, transforming this hedgehog into a hard hitting Demon-hog. However, he does tend to lose all sense of right and wrong until he has accomplished the mission in which he turned Demon in the first place. Sometimes, the soothing voice of a friend is all he needs to revert.
Bio: When Blade was just little, he was separated from his family, and because he was still too young to understand why, this has left him with very little (if none) psychological problems. The only thing that does trouble him is the nightmares of that night following him every other time he tries to sleep. He grew up in the small village of Sanctuary in a children’s home. Eventually, he grew too old for the home, and lived part of his life as a Rogue on the streets, until he became an elite soldier for the Freedom Fighters. He can still make rash decisions in the heat of moments, and his kind nature often gets the best of him.

As the bell of the clock tower tolled Midnight in Sanctuary, the full moon bathed the rugged scape of the village, peeking through the cracks of the leaves on the trees, and through the curtains of the huts where the children slept, soundly asleep and dreaming of the fun that would befall them the next day. Over the roofs of the huts and below the full beauty of the moon, on the highest branch of the tallest tree stood the outline of something short, and very spiny.
Blade, the Guardian of Sanctuary, was a hedgehog. Black with blue streaked and split quills, scars, that crossed both his torso and his left eye and a brown pouch, which he never went anywhere without.
Blade sighed as he stared down upon Sanctuary. For as long as he could remember, had been the Guardian for Sanctuary, protecting it from all foreign dangers, and keeping the children safe. There was nothing more important to him, than making sure that the children, orphaned by the tyranny that plagued the land, grew up safe and sound and out of harms way. Looking from the village, he stared out at the moon, his gaze fixated on its magnificent size and bountiful moonlight. What happens, Blade thought, when you can’t protect them from an inevitable danger?
True, Sanctuary was well protected. Camouflaged from the outside world by the forest that grew around it and hidden away from the tyranny that plagued the land. The perfect protection some people would think, but then again, nothing is perfect.
He finally did it… Blade thought. He wanted the power, and he got it…
He cast his mind back, but could only bring himself to remember the most merciful of killings. Civilisations fell, cities crumbled, nobody survived when it came to challenging the Master of Dark. No matter how many Freedom Fighters were sent to destroy the Master, none prevailed. With no other choice at hand, Sanctuary Freedom Fighters had decided to put Blade’s untapped potential to the test. They sent him with a team to retrieve an artefact that could possibly give them the power to finally defeat the Master of Dark. Of course, Blade only took two others, his dear friends, Mach, a fox-kin with more brains than a computer, and E.K, who like Blade was an ex-rogue.
They climbed the tallest mountains, swam the deepest oceans, battled the strongest of enemies, but still they pressed on towards their destination, the tomb of their previous ruler, who was said to be buried with a ring that possessed power beyond comprehension. Finally, after months of searching, they came across the tomb. E.K’s over-whelming greed took over him, and he snatched it from Blade’s clutches and slipped it off. Blade and Mach had begged him to take it off, fearing that he wouldn’t be able to handle the power. With much determination, E.K persuaded them to let him keep the ring on.
With the help of the ring, the defeat of the Master was swift, but with the fall of one evil, rose an even worse terror. With a lust for more power, E.K had turned of Mach and Blade. The two had barely escaped his clutches with their lives, but they both agreed that the lost of the friend was even more painful than any death he could come up with.
Blade snapped himself back to reality, and stared up at the warm glow of the moon.
“E.K…” Blade muttered to himself. “Why didn’t you listen…?”
