Sonic Spirit (SS) would like to welcome to our Forums!
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BE 13 OR OVER TO JOIN SONIC SPIRIT.
By Submitting and Accepting the Terms of Service, you (the user) are required to follow all of the following rules. If you break a rule and say you didn’t read them, or didn’t know about the rule, staff will quote the rule and you will still be warned.
The "physical" warning system goes from 0 (0%) to 5 (100%). Each time you break a rule you will receive a warn (providing it is severe enough). Listed below is what happens depending on warn level:
1st warning = A warning is issued
2nd warning = A second warning is issued
3rd warning = 3-6 day suspension
4th warning = 7-14 day suspension
5th warning = Banned forever.
Punishments given may vary depending on what the member is being punished for, however these are the basic outlines of what will happen.
Please note that some forums on SS have addition rules. Please make sure that these are fully understood before posting in the particular forums.
RULE 1: THE USE OF YOUR GRAMMAR: Please only post in English and that includes no short text.
If you continually use short text, even after being asked to stop, you will receive a warn. This rule is in use so everyone can read other member’s posts. Also, In addition to this rule, swearing is allowed, as long as it's MILD swearing and it isn't violating Rule 3. Censor bypassing is also strictly forbidden, censor bypassing can be anything from adding a random letter or symbol in the middle of an offensive word so the censors don't pick it up.
RULE 2: PM ABUSE: SonicSpirit asks you to, please, not send random words or sentences, advertisements (this includes your website address) or any form of abuse. If this happens, the Admins are able to check the PMs to find the abuse that has been sent. However, we will not go through the PMs unless someone has came to us saying that you have been abused through the PM system.
RULE 3: BASHING/FLAMING: Bashing/Flaming is when a single member, or a group of members, upsets and/or insults a member on purpose. Certain types of abuse are taken more seriously than others. If the abuse is done through a PM, please do as what is said in ‘RULE 2’.
RULE 4: INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT: Any type of Pornography or inappropriate content (included links to porn, child abuse, etc)will be deleted as soon as a staff member sees it. The admins/mods say what's is inappropriate and if you would like to know more about what is and what isn't appropriate please ask.
RULE 5: HOTLINKING: Hotlinking is when you take a picture, or any other form of media, copy and paste it directly to your site or a message board without the permission from the owner and running it off their server. This slows down their website, takes their bandwidth and costs that webmaster. Please, paste the address of the site/page or host the image on an image hosting site.
RULE 6: AVATARS AND SIGNATURES: Please, do not make any avatar bigger than 150x150 AND 25KB. If it is larger than 150x150, it will be scaled down. If it is bigger than 25KB then it must be hosted externally (For example, www.photobucket.com). With signatures, please make sure that if it is just text make sure it is no longer than 650 characters and that if it is a picture make sure it is no bigger than 550x300.
No big files or flashings signatures, please! If you can, please host your avatars and signatures on an image hosting site to leave space for people who can’t host theirs. Please don’t copy and paste URLs from sites and use them on SonicSpirit for your avatar. See rule 5 for more information.
RULE 7: CREATING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS: Please, stick to the one account you first created. Users who are caught with more than one, will receive a single warn and have their other accounts deleted. If you would like a change of username, please contact one of the admins, via PM.
RULE 8: ADVERTISING: Signatures are the only place where you may advertise your website or give a link to another forum. Please, no topics or posts giving addresses to your website(s) or other message boards, unless they are posted in the Other forum (In Show-Off Zone). If they are created in any other place on the board they will be deleted. Please can we also have NO comments or mentions about your site, unless it is in your signature and/or the Show Off Zone/Other.
RULE 9: DISRUPTIVE POSTING: Posting long, senseless posting with mixed characters e.g. upper and lower case with numbers mixed into them to make them unreadable or barely readable is counted as disruptive posting, as is posting random words or digits. Double posting is not allowed, either, as this counts as disruptive posting. Posts that break this rule will be deleted and the user may receive a warn if he or she breaks this rule often. Spamming also counts as Disruptive posting. To add to this, if you put a picture in your post and it stretches the table(s) then you're picture will be removed. Posting comments below 4 words long will also be frowned upon. If short posts happen regularly then you may receive a warn. Posts below 4 words are allowed in the Spam Forum.
RULE 10: ROLEPLAY: SS has a roleplay forum but please follow these simple rules.
A) We are fine with 99.9% of roleplays but can we please have no hardcore sexual Roleplays.
B) If any Roleplay contains any swearing, excessive violence, etc, Please give a warning about it at the START of your roleplay.
C) Please make sure that all roleplay posts abide with above rules.
RULE 11: CHATROOM: All of the above rules apply to the Chatroom. If you are caught going against these rules then you may receive a warn.
Please make sure you understand these rules. If would like any help about these rules, either post in the 'help and bugs' forum or contact an Admin or Mod.
Please remember that the Staff of SonicSpirit are unable to be around every hour of every day so if you see a post that breaks the rules, please use the Report button or PM an Admin with the problem and link and a Staff member will see what they can do.
